In order for ART to slow the progression of the disease and avoid the development of resistant virus, patients must remain in treatment and adhere to the prescribed regimen. This poses a problem in resource-limited settings where patients may drop out of care for financial, social, or other reasons related to the lcsh system of health care delivery. Therefore, the goal of this project was to identify significant barriers to care for the adult HIV clinic population at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi, Ghana in order to improve access and retention to care.
