- Moderno e clássico, apreciado por leitores de todo o mundo, Fernando Pessoa continua, através das inúmeras edições e traduções da sua obra, a estimular uma comunicação dinâmica entre diferentes línguas e tradições literárias. No contexto atual dos diálogos interculturais, importa refletir sobre os modos como Pessoa é apresentado aos leitores internacionais, com particular atenção aos paratextos editoriais e à construção visual da figura do autor, frequentemente oscilando entre a sua pluralidade heteronímica e a centralidade do Livro do Desassossego. Com esse objetivo, analisam-se algumas das mais recentes traduções da obra pessoana publicadas na Ásia e na Europa, selecionadas pelo seu caráter inovador, de modo a identificar tendências contemporâneas de receção e a perspetivar as suas potencialidades.

- Modern and classical, widely read across the globe, Fernando Pessoa continues, through the many editions and translations of his work, to foster a dynamic exchange between different languages and literary traditions. In the current context of intercultural dialogue, it is worth examining how Pessoa is presented to international readers, with particular attention to editorial paratexts and the visual construction of the author’s figure, often oscillating between his heteronymic plurality and the centrality of The Book of Disquiet. To this end, this article analyses a selection of recent translations of Pessoa’s work published in Asia and Europe, chosen for their innovative character, in order to identify contemporary trends in reception and to outline their potentialities.
