Most resembles jalīl al-tawqī‘ style of script after Ibn al-Bawwab (d. 1031); one of the "Six Classic Hands." (c.f. Safwat "The Art of the Pen"; p. 231). Five lines. Text box dimensions measure 20.1 x 14.0 cm.
Paper in fair condition overall. Some loss due to insect damage, especially along spine; evidence of attempts to repair spine with strips of paper. Some spots of discoloration, possibly acid damage from illumination on neighboring pages.
Black ink on tan paper with black diacritical marks. Gilded red and green floral verse markers present. "734" appears in pencil on recto.
