Title
proposed course model for integrating RDM with research reproducibility
Abstract
While there have been several recent projects looking at situating research data management (RDM) instruction in courses focused on data literacy and in disciplines such as data science, this poster presents lessons from a curriculum that situates RDM instruction into a larger conversation and course about research reproducibility and researcher ethics, responsible conduct of research (RCR). In the Spring of 2016, the data management librarian and biomedical and life sciences librarian at Brown University co-taught this integrated RDM/Reproducibility curriculum in daily 90-minute lessons over four days to ten PhD trainees in a module for a NIH-funded training program (IMSD) in the Division of Biology and Medicine.
