<mods:abstract>After serving the entire Brown University community for many decades, the Art Slide Library was officially closed in 2010. Faculty were given four years to access the collection and make selections for digitization. During 2014, the slides were weeded to a bare minimum and the remaining collection was dismantled. The slides, photographs, and reproductions were then given away to a wide variety of artists, educators, and students. This article is a description of that process.</mods:abstract>
