Script style resembles that of Abbasid style B.II (c.f. Deroche "The Abbasid Tradition"; Khalili cat. 9 accession#KFQ13). 14 lines. Text box dimensions 13.7 x 19.7 cm.
Parchment in fair condition; reinforced with a strip of pasted paper on verso. Surrounding paper frame is far less sturdy; vertical crack indicates it was stored folded in half at one time. Parchment discolored. Ink flaking and faded on verso.
Brown ink on parchment with red, black and green diacritical marks. Gilded spiral and green verse markers present. Evidence of attempts to clarify text (extending letters, added vocalization marks) at a later date with black ink. "#1173. 3" appears in pencil in upper left of recto.
