Paper in fair condition overall. Edges irregular and discolored. Some loss of text in upper right hand corner.
Black ink on buff paper with red and blue diacritical marks. Verse markers consist of a gilded and blue ink derivative of the Kufic hā' (c.f. Deroche "The Abbasid Tradition" chapter on illumination, also cat. 98, p.181). Decorative blue and gilded extra marginal illuminations are present. Arabic script in red ink appears outside of text box.
