Abstract
Ed Hooks discusses growing up in the neighborhood where the Huntington Industrial Park currently stands. Topics covered included childhood play at Mashapaug Pond, gardening and selling produce to local markets, changing topography and streets, ethnic composition of the neighborhood, local churches and schools, and the neighborhood's relationship to the Gorham Manufacturing Company. Interview concludes with an insightful discussion of urban renewal and the ultimate destruction of the former neighborhood.
