    <mods:abstract>Captioned photograph showing Aristide B. Cianfarani at work on his "Head of Lincoln," at the Gorham Manufacturing Company.  The sculpture was cast in bronze at the Gorham foundry, and sent to Bologna (Italy) for an international art competition in May 1932.  Published in the Providence Sunday Journal, April 10, 1932.   A second (undated) clipping, on the reverse of the mount, is entitled "Providence Sculptor Makes Head of Lincoln for Exhibit in Italy; Aristide Cianfarani Develops New Treatment in Bronze Casting to Impart LIfelike Skin Texture on Face of Great Emancipator." </mods:abstract>
