Description

Abstract:
Last wrote on 10th. On May 13 the Montezuma, frigate from Marseilles with 1770 men, disembarked. Yesterday arrived Sardinian war steamer the Anthion: 60 men and 1 gun, with Despatches from Leghorn. Yesterday anchored the Pomona, 390 men and 36 guns from Toulon, having on board Lesepps, Envoy Extraordinaire with full powers. Sig Accursi, chargé d’affaires of the Rpman Republic at Paris, accompanied M. Leseppes, both proceeded toward Rome.
