This mixed-methods study seeks to understand the relationship between homelessness, smoking, and resilience on an individual level. Areas of focus are levels of resilience (measured by two different resilience scales), smoking status and frequency, self-efficacy in quitting, living situation, and basic demographics. Understanding resilience levels, basic smoking behaviors and how homeless individuals struggle with cessation may help inform future cessation program design and implementation for this population.</mods:abstract><mods:subject authority="fast" authorityURI="http://id.worldcat.org/fast" valueURI="http://id.worldcat.org/fast/00959545"><mods:topic>Homelessness</mods:topic></mods:subject><mods:subject authority="fast" authorityURI="http://id.worldcat.org/fast" valueURI="http://id.worldcat.org/fast/01121689"><mods:topic>Smoking</mods:topic></mods:subject><mods:subject authority="fast" authorityURI="http://id.worldcat.org/fast" valueURI="http://id.worldcat.org/fast/01095573"><mods:topic>Resilience (Personality trait)</mods:topic></mods:subject><mods:subject authority="fast" authorityURI="http://id.worldcat.org/fast" valueURI="http://id.worldcat.org/fast/01204599"><mods:topic>Rhode Island</mods:topic></mods:subject><mods:language><mods:languageTerm authority="iso639-2b">English</mods:languageTerm></mods:language><mods:recordInfo><mods:recordContentSource authority="marcorg">RPB</mods:recordContentSource><mods:recordCreationDate encoding="iso8601">20170616</mods:recordCreationDate></mods:recordInfo><mods:identifier type="doi">10.7301/Z0VM49QP</mods:identifier><mods:accessCondition type="rights statement" xlink:href="http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/">In Copyright</mods:accessCondition><mods:accessCondition type="restriction on access">Collection is open for research.</mods:accessCondition></mods:mods>
