H.)--Brown University, 2017thesesThe purpose of this study is to examine resilience levels and smoking habits in homeless adults in Rhode Island in hopes of identifying ways to decrease overall smoking prevalence in the state. This mixed-methods study seeks to understand the relationship between homelessness, smoking, and resilience on an individual level. Areas of focus are levels of resilience (measured by two different resilience scales), smoking status and frequency, self-efficacy in quitting, living situation, and basic demographics.
