Through the Gates of the Silver Key


The story was written in collaboration with E. Hoffmann Price between October 1932 and April 1933 (SL 568, HPL to EHP, Oct. 3, 1932: "I perused your Randolph Carter sequel with the keenest interest ... and I profoundly hope we can get it into publishable shape sooner or later."; SL 614, HPL to EHP, Apr. 6, 1933: "Gawd what a job! I suppose you'll be disappointed, but this is really the best I can do. Of course, this is only a first draught ..."). This manuscript copy, in pencil, is predominantly in HPL's hand. First published in Weird Tales, 24, No. 1 (Jul 1934).
