- Este artigo pretende mostrar a relevância, dentro do epistolário pessoano, da transcrição das cartas a partir dos originais. Muitas das cartas nunca foram transcritas e publicadas na sua forma original. Consideramos de importância vital estabelecer a autenticidade e a forma original da correspondência Pessoana para uma melhor compreensão da sua vida e da sua obra.

- This article intends to show the relevance, within the Pessoan epistolary, of the transcription of the letters from the originals. Many of the letters have never been transcribed and published in the original form. It is of vital importance to try to establish the authenticity and original form of the Pessoan correspondence for a better understanding of his life and work.
