- Os estudos sobre Fernando Pessoa concentram-se cada vez mais na análise do denso diálogo intertextual entre os documentos do espólio e da biblioteca particular do autor. Neste artigo é estudada em particular a relação entre alguns textos de Pessoa acerca da civilização arábico-islâmica e a leitura, por Pessoa, de um livro de Theodor Nöldeke, Sketches from Eastern History de 1892. São apresentadas notas de leitura sobre este livro, assim como as correspondências entre essas notas e textos pessoanos sobre sensacionismo e sobre neo-paganismo, datados por volta de 1916. É, deste modo, estudada a recepção do pensamento de Nöldeke na composição original de textos pessoanos sobre a civilização arábico-islâmica. São também apresentados e comentados outros documentos do espólio e da biblioteca particular de Fernando Pessoa, acerca do mesmo tema, e úteis na construção de um mapa intertextual que contribua para estudar a presença do elemento arábico-islâmico na obra e no pensamento de Pessoa.

- Studies on Fernando Pessoa tend increasingly to address the rich intertextual dialogue between the documents that comprise his estate and his private library. In this article particular attention is given to the connection between some of Pessoa's texts on the Arab-Islamic Civilization and a book by Theodore Nöldeke entitled Sketches from Eastern History (1982). Presented here are Pessoa's reading notes on that book, as well as the connection between those notes with Pessoa's texts on Sensacionism and Neo-Paganism, dated at around 1916. In this way, a study of the reception of Nöldeke's ideas in Fernando Pessoa's texts on Arab-Islamic Civilization is made. Other documents of the author's estate and private library on the same subject are also discussed, since they are useful in the creation of an intertextual index that can help to study the presence of Arab-Islamic elements in Pessoa's work and thought.
