- Raul Leal (1886-1964), publicista, crítico musical e de artes plásticas, criador de obra filosófica original, poeta e dramaturgo é também autor de extensa obra dispersa sobre Fernando Pessoa, seu amigo e colaborador em diversas revistas e projectos culturais do chamado modernismo português (como Orpheu, Portugal Futurista, Centauro, Presença, etc.). Para além de se assinalar a convergência de preocupações filosóficas e intelectuais entre os dois autores, mesmo antes de estes iniciarem a sua colaboração efectiva (e até antes de se conhecerem), este trabalho procura resumir o encontro entre os percursos dos dois autores, procedendo ao levantamento de referências a Leal que constam da obra de Pessoa (editada ou não em vida), assim como do considerável acervo de textos de Leal dedicados a Pessoa, especialmente após 1935 (visando a publicação nunca efectivada de uma ambiciosa obra).

- Raul Leal (1886-1964) was a novelist, music and fine arts critic, author of an original philosophical work, poet and theatre author. Leal wrote also a great amount of essays about Fernando Pessoa, his friend and colleague in various magazines and cultural projects of the Portuguese Modernism (as Orpheu, Portugal Futurista, Centauro, Presença, etc.). Besides pointing the convergence of intellectual and philosophical concerns between the two authors, even before they started to work together (and even before they met), this paper attempts to summarize the meeting between the paths of the two authors, proceeding to the survey of references to Leal in Pessoa's work (regardless edited or not in his life) as well as the considerable number of texts by Leal devoted to Pessoa, especially after 1935 (with the aim of publishing an ambitious essay about Pessoa, project that never succeed).
