- Este trabalho tem como objectivo pôr o sensacionismo pessoano em relação com a análise das sensações na Viena do início do século XX. Centra-se na figura de Ernst Mach e as consequências que os seus estudos tiveram na ciência, nas humanidades ou na criação. A dissolução do eu, o cepticismo linguístico ou a saúde mental têm um ponto de encontro neste científico austríaco que tentou uma mudança epistemológica no pensamento do seu tempo.

- This paper aims to relate Pessoan sensacionismo to the analysis of sensations in the Vienna of the early twentieth century. It focuses on the figure of Ernst Mach and the consequences of his studies for science, humanities or creation. The dissolution of the self, linguistic scepticism or mental health all meet in this Austrian scientist who attempted an epistemological shift in the thinking of his time.
