    <mods:abstract lang="por">Fernando Pessoa escreveu pelo menos duas dúzias de sonetos sobre a noite, incluindo textos tanto em Inglês quanto em Português, poemas tanto publicados quanto inéditos, versos tanto ortônimos quanto atribuídos a algumas das muitas personagens de Pessoa. Ainda que representem um corpus mínimo em comparação à obra pessoana como um todo, estes "sonetos noturnos" permitem tirar uma fotografia privilegiada da presença da Noite na poesia de Pessoa, uma presença indissociável dos temas da Morte e da Temporalidade. Proponho-me, pois, a explorar ao menos um poema para cada combinação possível entre os temas "Noite", "Morte" e "Temporalidade" nos sonetos pessoanos. Analisando um total de dezessete textos com testemunhos fac-similados (incluindo um soneto inédito em Inglês), viso aqui a instigar–longe de esgotar–o estudo dessas constantes em Pessoa.</mods:abstract>
    <mods:abstract lang="eng">Fernando Pessoa wrote at least two dozen sonnets about the night, including texts both in English and in Portuguese, poems both published and unpublished, verses both orthonymic and attributed to some of the many characters of Pessoa. Though representing a minimal corpus in comparison with the whole works of the poet, these "nocturnal sonnets" allow us to take a privileged snapshot of the presence of Night in Pessoa's poetry, a presence inseparable from the themes of Death and Temporality. I propose, therefore, to explore at least one poem for each possible combination of the themes "Night", "Death" and "Temporality" in the Pessoan sonnets. Analyzing a total of seventeen texts with facsimiled originals (including an unpublished sonnet in English), I am instigating – far from exhausting – the study of those motifs in Pessoa.</mods:abstract>
