Abstract:
Madrid, 21 May 1964: From Nizar to Salma; Qabbani’s great excitement at a recent trip to Tunisia, where he was taken aback by the quantity and ardor of his Tunisian fans; relation of a recent trip to Palma de Mallorca; discussion of Chopin and George Sand; Madrid’s summer heat; meeting with the new Spanish ambassador to Syria.
