- Fernando Pessoa escreveu dois ensaios sobre a ficção policial: «An Essay on Detective Literature», em sua terceira adolescência, e «The Detective Story, no fim da década de 1920». Apresentam-se aqui essas obras numa edição filológica, com uma introdução que busca enquadrá-las num contexto histórico.
- Fernando Pessoa wrote two essays on the detective novel: “An Essay on Detective Literature,” in his third adolescence, and “The Detective Story,” in the end of 1920s. This essay includes a philological edition of those works, together with an introduction intending to put them in their historical context.
