Abstract
Prior to Haussmann's development of the city's sewer systems and walkways, Parisian streets were criticized for being relatively dirty and unsanitary due to their lack of proper drainage systems. Haussmann would later renovate Parisian sidewalks and curbs to allow for a cleaner system of water flow. This anonymous drawing is located at the Musée Carnavalet in Paris.
