Abstract (lang="por"): Apesar de estar longe da vista, Angra—cidade atlântica, berço do liberalismo—está sempre muito perto nos corações, no imaginário e nas vivências dos primos da América, porque Angra é uma cidade com uma rica história, a cidade que encanta e que não é só minha, nem é só nossa. Angra pertence ao mundo! A cidade cujo glorioso passado, em paralelo com o trabalho do presente, lhe dá o pleno direito de estar otimista e orgulhosamente com os olhos postos no futuro. Se, como foi dito algures, uma utopia é uma realidade em potência, Angra do Heroísmo é e será, com todas as suas potencialidades, incluindo os primos da América, uma verdadeira construtora de utopias.
Abstract (lang="eng"): Despite being far from sight, Angra—Atlantic city, cradle of liberalism—is always close to people’s hearts in both their imagination and in the experiences of their American cousins, because Angra is a city with a rich history, a city that enchants and that is not just mine or ours. Angra belongs to the world! It is a city whose glorious past, together with its present work, gives it the right to be optimistic and to proudly fix its eyes on the future. If, as it has been said, a utopia is a potential reality, Angra do Heroísmo is and will be, with all its potential, including its American cousins, a true builder of utopias.
