Abstract:
Dated at the end by HPL: "Finish'd Decr. 3, 1931." This is the final (fourth?) revised draft prepared by HPL (SL 511, HPL to Clark Ashton Smith, 1931 Nov 20: "My latest move is to destroy all three versions written to date, preparatory to embarking on a fourth"). First published as The Shadow Over Innsmouth (Everett, PA: Visionary Publishing Co., 1936). Written in ink and pencil on the versos of correspondence to Lovecraft from: Moe, Maurice (undated) Page 68; Moidel, Jacob (1927 Nov 28) Page 66; Morton, James F. (1928 Jul 29) Page 67; Talman, Wilfred Blanch (1931 Apr 2) Page 65.
