Health care utilization among Medicare beneficiaries: the association between Medicare supplements, Medicare Advantage, and outpatient doctor visits

Abstract:
Using data from wave 12 of the 2014 Health and Retirement Study (HRS), a sample of 5087 older adults with Medicare as their sole health insurance was selected to assess for total self-reported outpatient (including emergency and clinic) doctor visits.
