Abstract
Construction site of the 1867 Paris World fair, one month prior to the opening. The palais du Champ-de-Mars is the circular building standing on the right of the image, and contained a large part of the Fair. The Palais was built by Frédéric Le Play and Jean-Baptiste Krantz, and housed the countries' exhibits (France occupied about 40 percent of its total surface).
