<mods:abstract lang="eng">Astrology as a key to reading the work of Fernando Pessoa sheds light on the role of the stars in his artistic production and in the construction of his literary universe. Drawing on Paulo Cardoso’s studies of documents from Pessoa’s archive, this article examines how astrology influenced Pessoa’s writing, personal relationships, and the creation of his heteronyms. Pessoa carefully devised the astrological charts of Alberto Caeiro, Álvaro de Campos, and Ricardo Reis, aligning them with his own. The essay also explores the legacy of Raphael Baldaya, author of philosophical texts and astrological treatises, in order to examine this still underexplored dimension of Pessoa’s work and the symbolic relation between astrology, life, and death in his universe.</mods:abstract>
