Data for "Variations in Lithospheric Thickness across the Denali Fault and in Northern Alaska"

Description

Abstract:
Supplementary Data for Gama et al. (2022), Variations in Lithospheric Thickness across the Denali Fault and in Northern Alaska, Geophysical Research Letters. Vs_data is an excel file that contains the shear wave velocity (Vs) model, given as the 444 individual inversions whose geographic locations are shown in Figure 2d. The “Vs” sheet (143x444 values) contains the final Vs values (the median of the ensemble at each depth); each row is a different depth (0 km to 226 km) and each column is a different geographic location. The “Depths” sheet (143 rows) indicates the depth of each Vs row. The “Vs_coord” sheet (444 columns) indicates the latitude (first row) and longitude (second row) of each geographic location. The “VsErrorMax” and “VsErrorMin” sheets contain the Vs uncertainties for each depth (row) and geographic location (column). Vs-VsErrorMin and Vs+VsErrorMax are the velocity values that mark the low and high velocity ends, respectively, of the 68th percentile range of values at each depth. LAB_depths.txt is a text file that contains the 327 estimates of the thickness of the upper plate lithosphere in Alaska, shown in Figure S6. One value is given per row. The first and second columns correspond to the latitude and longitude (in degrees) of the value, the third column is the upper plate thickness (in km), and the fourth column is the uncertainty (in km).
