<mods:abstract lang="eng">This article defends that it is up to heterosexuals to change their behavior, adopting contractual norms of tolerance. It is not for the homosexual to introject the guilt for the debauchery, punishing himself for the atonement, and in that way adopting contractual norms of public life in which he excludes himself from society as a whole in the process of normalization. In other words, the author asks if the homosexual cannot and should not be more astute? Are subtle forms of militancy no more profitable than aggressive forms? Does subversion, through the courageous anonymity of the subjectivities at stake—a slower process of awareness—not better condition the future dialogue between heterosexuals and homosexuals, than the open confrontation by a group that is self-marginalized, a process alleged by the American culture to be faster and more efficient?</mods:abstract>
