A clean copy, without corrections, written in pencil and dated "12/3/19." This original story was first published in The Scot, No. 44 (Jun 1920). However, this manuscript is probably a recopied version done by HPL some time in the mid-1920's because it contains revisions that do not appear in in the 1920 published version. It closely corresponds to version published in Marvel Tales, 1, No.4 (Mar-Apr 1935).
