The kinds of science first were d ; s cussed and explained. This siep was piepur..idi a lot the pieseiuiug of the various definitions of science. These, a matter of usual prrn^.'sy to the casual reader or thinker, were clearly set forth. Dr. Robinson .hen showed the relations as they exist between science and philo.-ophy. . Next, the special fields of science were touched upon. In discussion, Dr. Robinson showed. that these are restricted, and pointed out the restrictions. Another interesting view of the subject appeared in the discussion of die possibilities and limitations of science. Science has authority ; its conclusions are final, as Dr. Robinson showed in speaking of the unappealable authority of the conclusions of science. The closing remarks of the lecture had to do with two ' topics upon which much interest centers. These were scientific methods and the scientific spirit. The next lecture by Dr. Robinson occurs at the same time >and place, Wednesday evening, April 20. He will then speak upon "Philosophy," and show its relations to science."
