- This paper focuses on Mario Quintana's early poetry, published in "Ibirapuitan", a largely unknown literary magazine from his hometown of Alegrete (Rio Grande do Sul). While already containing the seeds of Quintana' s rich and diversified poetical production, these early poems are remarkable in that they exemplify the Derridian concept of "supplement".

- Este artigo enfoca a poesia inicial de Mario Quintana, publicada no "Ibirapuitan", uma revista literária pouco conhecida da sua cidade natal de Alegrete (Rio Grande do Sul). Embora já contenham as sementes da rica e diversificada produção poética de Quintana, esses primeiros poemas são notáveis, pois exemplificam o conceito de derridiano de "suplemento".
