Las relaciones entre crítica y creación, teoría y traducción, filología y poesía exigen ser pensadas cada vez y caso por caso. Este artículo propone volver sobre la labor de edición y traducción de Ricardo Reis, así como sobre la materialidad y el estatuto del archivo, para proponer una arqueología de la traducción que nos permita comprender mejor la obra de este heterónimo pessoano, la cual no puede entenderse al margen de su historia crítica y editorial. Para ello, el autor propone una lectura de Reis a partir de los problemas con los que se encontró al llevar a cabo su propia labor de traducción.

Abstract (lang="eng")

The relationships between criticism and creation, theory and translation, and philology and poetry must be examined anew in each case. This article revisits the editing and translation of Ricardo Reis, as well as the materiality and status of the archive, in order to propose an archaeology of translation that helps us better understand the work of this Pessoan heteronym, which cannot be understood apart from its critical and editorial history. To this end, the author offers a reading of Reis grounded in the problems encountered in the course of his own translation practice.

As relações entre crítica e criação, teoria e tradução, filologia e poesia exigem ser pensadas de cada vez e caso a caso. Este artigo propõe revisitar o trabalho de edição e tradução de Ricardo Reis, bem como a materialidade e o estatuto do arquivo, de modo a propor uma arqueologia da tradução que permita compreender melhor a obra deste heterónimo pessoano, a qual não pode ser entendida à margem da sua história crítica e editorial. Para tal, o autor propõe uma leitura de Reis a partir dos problemas com que se deparou ao realizar o seu próprio trabalho de tradução.
