<mods:abstract lang="eng">This paper provides an interlocution between the dramatic works of António Patrício (1878-1930) and those of Fernando Pessoa (1888-1935). Initially, his debut plays, O fim and O marinheiro (published in 1909 and 1915, in that order) are compared, as well as certain affinities of the first with two unfinished static dramas are enlightened. In the sequence, this dialogue is explored based on the plays Pedro, o cru (1918), Dinis and Isabel (1919) and D. João e a máscara (1924). Finally, a brief comparative approach to the dramas Judas (1924) and Calvary (c. 1932-1934) is proposed. Despite the clear differences between Patrício’s and Pessoa's plays, both authors favor the interiority of the figures on stage, suspending the flow of dramatic action. Since the static element constitutes a connection point between the texts of these playwrights, it is necessary to specify the extent to which these works move away and come closer to each other.</mods:abstract>
