HealthCORE is a 10 day program for high school students who are underrepresented in medicine who have an interest in a healthcare profession. This free program provides high school students hands-on exposure and unique opportunities to engage in a health-related curriculum, with the ultimate goal of increasing their interest and passion regarding healthcare. The 2-week program was implemented at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Summer 2022 with 18 high school participants and 16 medical student volunteers. Covering topics like clinical skills, medial ethics, ultrasound, and anatomy lab, the program allowed students to learn more about the journey to a healthcare career and provided tangible skills through hands-on learning. Through survey results, HealthCORE was shown to foster an environment that grew participant confidence and interest in the medical field.</mods:abstract><mods:name><mods:namePart>Montoya, Hannah</mods:namePart><mods:role><mods:roleTerm authority="marcrelator" authorityURI="http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators" valueURI="http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut">Author</mods:roleTerm></mods:role></mods:name><mods:name><mods:namePart>Arezo, Sabrina</mods:namePart><mods:role><mods:roleTerm authority="marcrelator" authorityURI="http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators" valueURI="http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut">Author</mods:roleTerm></mods:role></mods:name><mods:name type="corporate"><mods:namePart>Brown University.
