- Este artigo analisa as afinidades entre Fernando Pessoa e José Régio, frequentemente vistos como figuras contrastantes do modernismo português. A partir das noções de “fingimento” e “sinceridade”, destaca-se a tendência dramática e conciliadora partilhada por ambos na aproximação a uma realidade múltipla e a um eu mutável. Por meio de leituras comparadas do heteronimismo pessoano e da “Literatura Viva” de Régio, demonstra-se como os dois poetas transformaram a contradição em criatividade, enriquecendo a literatura portuguesa moderna.

- This article explores the affinities between Fernando Pessoa and José Régio, often perceived as contrasting figures in Portuguese modernism. By examining the notions of “feigning” and “sincerity,” it highlights their shared dramatic and conciliatory tendencies in approaching a multifaceted reality and a mutable self. Through comparative readings of Pessoa’s heteronymism and Régio’s “Literatura Viva,” the study reveals how both poets sought to reconcile contradictions, transforming conflict into creativity and contributing to the richness of modern Portuguese literature.
