Description

Abstract:
Woodblock print; map showing Edo Bay with the Miura Peninsula, and a part of the Sagami Bay, from Odawara to Sunosaki, with all coastal cities and villages, the names and heraldic devices of their warlords and a number of the troops under their command. Two of Perry̕s black ships are shown in the waters of the Edo Bay, one with a note about its size (the length is 80 ken or 145 m and the width is 35 ken or 64 m). In the lower right corner, there is a portrait of a foreigner armed with two swords.
