- Associating concepts derived from a reevaluation of Raymond Williams from the country-city dichotomy to contemporary ecocriticism, this text discusses the updates to Brazilian regionalism and its contrast with the bucolic genre in the narrative fiction of authors such as Adriana Lisboa, Conceição Evaristo, Ronaldo Correia de Brito, Carlos Herculano Lopes, Luiz Ruffato, Moacyr Scliar, and Antonio Torres.
