- Abstract
- Abstract
(lang="eng")
- This essay examines the ambivalent reception of Fernando Pessoa in Portuguese digital and experimental poetry, oscillating between fascination and rejection. Drawing on works by E. M. de Melo e Castro, Ana Hatherly, Abílio-José Santos, Alberto Pimenta, and Rui Torres, it argues that these poets and artists engage with Pessoa through processes of appropriation, variation, and recombination. By analyzing how experimental and digital practices “hallucinate the text,” the essay highlights creative strategies that both honor and destabilize Pessoa’s legacy.
