- After preliminary considerations about cannibalistic practices and anthropophagy, specifically in the discursive field, this article analyzes the anthropophagic philosophy of Oswald de Andrade using the 'Manifesto Antropófago' (1928) through the perspective of postmodernism. It shows that Andrade responds to the European intellectual who questions himself, haunted as he is by the carnage of the First World War and the imminence of fascism. The anthropophagic of Andrade, also conjecturing about more effective means of sociability, succeeds in shaking the foundations of the subject/ego-object-other triad by destryoing the Western emphasis on the importance of the individual. Andrade's reflection results in an alternative conception of the person (subject/ego) in relation to his environment (object) and the company he keeps (other). His ‘Weltanschauung’ in 'A Crise da Filosofia Messiânica' and in 'Um aspecto antropofágico do homem cordial' connects the anthropophagic/matriarchal (as a manifestation of alterity) with the relationship described by him as being the 'feeling of the other.'

- Após considerações preliminares sobre as práticas do canibalismo e da antropofagia e sua especificação no âmbito do campo discursivo, este artigo analisa a Filosofia Antropófaga de Oswald de Andrade a partir do "Manifesto Antropófago" (1928) sob uma perspectiva paralela à crítica pós-moderna. Mostra que Andrade responde ao intelectual europeu que se autoquestiona, assombrado que está entre a carnificina da Primeira Guerra Mundial e a iminência do Fascismo. O Antropofágico de Andrade, também conjecturando sobre formas mais prósperas de sociabilidade, consegue abalar os fundamentos da tríade sujeito/ego-objeto-outro com o que sugere solapar a supremacia ocidental do Indivíduo. A reflexão de Andrade se desdobra numa figuração alternativa da pessoa (sujeito/ego) em relação ao seu ambiente (objeto) e à sua companhia (outro). Sua ‘Weltanschauung’ em ‘A Crise da Filosofia Messiânica’ e em "Um aspecto antropofágico do homem cordial" conecta o Antropofágico/Matriarcal ( como incorporação da alteridade) àquela relação descrita por ele mesmo como o "sentimento do outro".
