The Bulletin and Course Catalog of Brown University is the publication that provides official information about the administration of Brown University, the requirements for admission, the requirements for degrees, descriptions of all the courses offered each year, and a list of all the Professors and Instructors. Women were first admitted to Brown University in 1891 and attended the Women’s College which was renamed Pembroke College in 1928 before merging with the men as one university in 1971. The Bulletin includes information for all aspects of the Women’s College and Pembroke College. The Bulletin also includes a list of students attending and their hometown until the 1956/1957 issue. From 1957 through 1966 the Bulletin included the names of students who received degrees the prior year.
