The CHEMIST is short for Chemistry, History, & Etymology–Mixed; Interesting Stories on Tape. This podcast is part of Professor Amit Basu’s @aetoumos project at Brown University, which centers chemical etymologies as an entry-point to the history of chemistry. Each episode, we explore a family of chemical compounds and the stories, characters, and language that come along with it! Funding for this project was provided by Brown University through the Undergraduate Teaching and Research Awards (UTRA) program as well as a Judith H. Zern Award.
