This collection contains an archive of issues of the Laboratory Primate Newsletter (1962-2011). Dr. Allan M. Schrier, Ph.D. (1930-1987) professor of psychology, upon establishing a primate behavior laboratory at Brown found that there was no central source of practical information about establishing and running a facility with caged nonhuman primates. He set about remedying the situation with the Laboratory Primate Newsletter, which was published quarterly since its inception in 1962. In addition to these volume and issue files, the original site has been archived by University Archives here.
