Historical research on the economic past has exploded over the last several decades, with much recent scholarship traveling under the label of “History of Capitalism.” This amorphous subfield stretches from the era of early modern global integration to the neoliberal present. Professor Seth Rockman and the students in the History of Capitalism graduate seminar have compiled bibliographies to identify the scholarship currently shaping the field and to identify work that might orient the field in new directions. The first bibliography was produced in Spring 2012 and a second has now been completed for Spring 2021.
