Coachella Valley grape strike newsletter

Description

Abstract:
Religious representatives from all over the country came to Coachella to support the grape workers' rights to free elections and the national boycott of both grapes and lettuce. Cesar Chavez announced that the UFW will provide benefits to strikers. Newsletter describes theater performed in support of strike, use of car caravans for protection, and fear of being undermined by illegal scab workers from Mexico.
