- Abstract:
- An essay is presented concerning the role of the tourism industry in mitigating climate change through the lens of political economy. Topics discussed include the climate change summits that led to the development of the Kyoto Protocol agreement, the actions of several industry organizations and international tour operators related to climate governance and the promotion of market-based responses by the industry to tackle climate change.
