Growth and Stagnation of Agriculture in Eastern India and Bangladesh

Abstract:
An essay is presented regarding the agricultural development in eastern India, and the technological and institutional factors that affected such development. Topics include the contribution of private shallow tube-wells (STWs) in the agricultural development on Bengal, the Green Revolution in the country citing the progress of rice crop, and adopting varieties of rice.
