- Abstract:
- An essay is presented on the democracy in Egypt. It highlights the mass protests in 2011 that led to the termination of President Hosni Mubarak from his post. It provides an overview of the political success of the Sunni Islamist religious, political and social movement Muslim Brotherhood following the 2011 revolution. The statement of U.S. Barack Obama that commends the efforts of the Egyptians towards political change is also emphasized.
