- Abstract:
- The article discusses the ability of China to adapt and survive environmental crisis. An overview of China's contemporary environmental problems and their spillover effects beyond territorial boundaries is presented. Key changes in the central government's response to environmental concerns are considered. Some of the major constraints on implementing reforsm are identified.
