- Abstract:
- The article stresses the need for the U.S. to reflect upon its aging high-technology workforce and its implications for both public and private space exploration plans in the twenty-first century. According to the author, some countries, in particular, India, China and Japan, will inevitably surpass the U.S. in terms of technological superiority. The U.S. also stands at a critical juncture with regard to its future in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
