- The article offers the author's insights regarding acquisition apologetics on artifacts, including institutional and individual demand for undocumented artifacts and safe havens for at-risk artifacts. Topics include the effect on antiquities of conflicts in Iraq and Syria, the Association of Art Museum Directors (AAMD) protocols for safe havens for artifacts, and archaeological material in Syria.
