Abstract:
In the present context of the HIV crisis in the Philippines, prioritization and coverage of HIV prevention services remain limited for communities of Filipinx transgender women and cisgender men who have sex with men. This dissertation is an empirical investigation of the personal, social, organizational, and structural factors (i.e., socio-ecological factors) that impact utilization of condoms and other HIV-related health services among these two important Filipinx communities. Findings offer expanded and new conceptual frameworks for addressing this public health crisis.
